PROFILE OF ENGINEER ODUKOYA SESAN
Engineer Odukoya Sesan obtained his B.Sc. (Hon), Chemical Engineering in 1993 from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, and M.Sc. in Public Administration from the Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos in 2011. He also has a Diploma in Oil and Gas Management from University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos (2018).
Engr. Sesan Odukoya was employed by the Lagos State Government in 2000 and deployed to the Ministry of Environment, Office of Drainage Service, as an Engineer (wastewater/Drainage) between 2000 and 2008 before becoming the Head, Policy and Planning. He later on assumed the position of Head, Design Project and Implementation (2010 to 2016). He was instrumental to the creation of Lagos State Wastewater Management Office in 2010.
He attended both international and local short courses among which were: Water Quality Management and Effluent Treatment (University of Pretoria, South Africa), Design of Wastewater treatment facilities (Germany)
Also, Financing Sustainable Cities Imitative (C40 Clean Academy, Abijan, Ivory Coast), Expert Seminar and Workshop on Bio-energy (Accra, Ghana)
He became the Assistance Director and the Head, Oil and Gas Department of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in June 2016. Engineer Odukoya Sesan, is in charge of planning, development of policy in Oil, Gas Commercialization, Gas reticulation System in Homes and Energy sector. He has also contributed to development of Energy security and low carbon consumption (Clean Energy) amongst others in Lagos State. Engr. Odukoya Sesan Moses is a Member, Council of Regulation of Engineering, Nigeria (COREN) and the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE).
