She joined the Local Government Service Commission in 1988 and posted to Ikorodu Local Government as Planning Officer III GL 08 between 1988-1990, posted to Eti-Osa Local Government in 1990, and worked as Head of Planning Budgets and Statistics Department. Initiated opening of Planning area officers for effective monitoring of revenue and house numbering of the then ElegushiAjah – Badore Axis until she was moved to Alimosho Local Government and worked between1990-1999. She undertook the house numbering of the LGA as well as strengthened and improved the revenue base of the LGA through the establishment of Area Planning Officers manned by Area Planning Officers which deepened the feedback mechanism/strategies.
She was deployed to Apapa Local Government where she served between 1999- April 2006 as Head of Planning Department in April, 2006.
She was moved to the mainstream of the Lagos State Public Service in April 2006, and was deployed to Local Government Establishment and Pension Office Old Secretariat, Ikeja where she worked as pioneer head of Planning, Research &Statistics. Initiated upgrade of facilities towards revenue collection i.e Local Government Establishment Hall. She coordinated the activities of the Ministry of Establishment under the supervision of the then Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mrs ModupeHonponuWusu until the posting of a Director, Finance and Administration, Mr.Adeshina MohammedOdeyemi who is now the Permanent Secretary, Office of Civic Engagement.
Coordinated the setting up of the Local Government Central Pay Data Validation Department (CPDVD), where she worked until December 2011 when she was deployed to Head the Economic Intelligence Unit (EIU) in Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget.
She succeeded in the take off the EIU (Economic Intelligence Unit), as Head of the Unit, she and her team of intelligent staff undertook research towards a Fiscal Strategy Review (FSR) poised at placing Lagos State in the league of States to benefit 1.3% Derivation enjoyed by Oil producing State. In pursuant of this, she initiated an interactive platform with the LGA’s/LCDA’s in the State towards inclusive/integrated Economic Planning there by leading to the First ever held Medium Term Expenditure Framework workshop in September 2011. She has a penchant for collaboration and affiliation as a strong force towards consolidated/sustainable development. In the light of this, she initiated a monthly Seminar for the staff of the Economic Intelligent Unit/MEPB with Nigerian Institute of Social Economic Research (NISER) in Ibadan, Oyo State.
She Initiated establishment of a functional Library in Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget. Registered Lagos State as member of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES), a platform that enables all economists in the State to attend annual conferences.
Linked up Lagos State Government with the then National Planning Commission, in 2011, through its numerous foreign partners, i.e the Korean International Cooperation Association KOICA; under this platform she attended A-3 week Nigerian Economic Strategy Seminar in South Korea between May-June 2011. A platform that opened doors for other MEPB and LASG staff to attend Seminars in South Korea/Asian corridors under the sponsorship of the Cooperations. The following year which was 2012, the then Permanent Secretary (MEPB), Mr.BayoSodade attended a similar conference under the aegis of KOICA. Recently, an extension amongst many of National Planning Commission collaborative training programmesi.e JICA on Energy Studies was extended to one of our Assistant Director, Planning to China between June/July 2018. Still counting the benefits of this initiative.
In December 2011, she was deployed to set up the Planning, Research &Statistics Unit of newly created Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, where she presently works as the Director (Planning). Towards the effective off- take of the new Ministry, she initiated developmental plans and programmes towards the sustenance and growth of the Ministry. Pioneering the Setup ofthe Planning, Research & Statistics Unit –Created a mini Library to enhance the capacity of the professional staff. She Introduced the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to the National Planning Commission, Abuja, a platform that provides the Ministry Professional staff toattend a 3-Week Programme under the JICA – Japan International Corporation Agency. Initiated/ Developed/Coordinated plans, programmes, with the Oil and Gas Department of the Ministry that led to the birth and take off of the IBILE Oil & Gas Cooperation between Y2012- Y2014 until a substantive General Manager was appointed.
Initiated/Setup a Monthly Revenue Review Committee (RRC) meeting that raised the bar of revenue of the Ministry from Y2012 budgetary target of N50 Million to N301 Million in Y2017. She initiated the establishment of Solid Mineral Area Officers in the 3 mining axis in Ikorodu, Badagry and Ibeju-Lekki/Epe/Ajah axis, for effective/ efficient monitoring activities.
Additionally, she had served in the capacity of holding forth the activities of the Ministry whilst awaiting the posting of a substantive Permanent Secretary, particularly in 2017, when the Ministry had a transfer of 3 Permanent Secretaries in a roll.
