Bello Catherine Wareteyede obtained an LL.B. Degree in year 2007 from the University of Lagos.  She was called to the Nigerian Bar in September 2009.

She was employed into the Lagos State Ministry of Justice in 2010, where she was deployed to the Office of the Public Defender.  She worked with the office of the Public Defender from 2010 – 2015, where she handled various matters (civil, criminal family) and particularly Employment Law. She has always been passionate about any case she handled and has gotten several positive judgements in the cases she handled in employment law.  She was transferred in 2015 to work in Directorate of Civil Litigation where she served for four years (2015 to 2019).  She brought to book a special matter for settlement before Honourable Justice Onigbanjo of the Lagos High Court, Lagos Judicial Division, Lagos. She worked in the Office Civic Engagement from June 2019 to August 2020.

She has made great impact in effective governance and public goods and has attended the plenary sessions of the Lagos State House of Assembly to monitor new bills and some Laws interpreted into Yoruba, Igbo, and Hausa etc., which were later passed by the House to reach out to the grass root.

 She is currently serving at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, as the Head of Legal Unit, treating all matters that may have any legal implications, including but not limited to, litigation, contracts, statutory notices, compliance issues and other matters that seeks to commit or relieve the State of obligations, liabilities, rights and or assets.

She is well known for record keeping of all legal document and proffer professionally researched and professional legal advice on a diverse and wide range of issues.  

Mrs. Bello is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and a member of the International Bar.
