Oluremi Williams was born in Lagos on April 20, 1975, an indigene of Lagos from Ibeju and Olowogbowo area of the State. She obtained her early education from Archbishop Taylor Memorial School, Victoria Island then to Eva Adelaja Girl’s Secondary Grammar School, Gbagada, Lagos. She graduated from the University of Ibadan with B.Sc. (Hons.) in Archaeology/Geology in 2001 and obtained her M.Sc. in Environmental Management from University of Lagos in 2015. She obtained Doctor of Ministry in 2021 specializing in pastoral counselling at the Centre for Advanced Theological Studies, Wesley University of Science and Technology, Ondo.

She worked at National Oil and Marketing Plc (Now Conoil Plc) as youth corper in 2002.

She joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 2004 and was deployed to the Office of Special Adviser on Mineral Resources Development, as Geologist and headed the department of Solid Minerals from June 2009 to April 2010.

She was redeployed to the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development in April 2010 to January 2016, to head the Dredging and Monitoring unit.

In February 2016, she was redeployed to Lagos Waste Management Authority, Waste Management Services where she served at Olushosun Landfilled. She was posted in September 2016 to the Client Services Department (Headquarters Ijora) till August 2017 as the head of units, debt recovery, telecommunication, embassies, and banks.

From August 2017 – January 2019, she was redeployed to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Geological Services Department as the head of geological consultancy and revenue unit.

From January 2019 – November 2021, she was deployed to the Ministry of Waterfront and Infrastructure Development, as Coordinator of dredging for Badagry axis.

From November 2021 – Till Date, she was redeployed to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources as the Head, Dredging and Monitoring Unit.

She is a member of the Council of Nigerian Mining Engineers and Geosciences (COMEG), the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), and the Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS).

She was awarded the best officer of the year 2013 (senior category).
